Job summary

Hi-Tek Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator for the Mason, OH facility. You will operate horizontal or VTL lathes, read blueprints, inspect parts with precision tools, and ensure conformance to customer specs within AS9100/NADCAP frameworks.

The role requires at least 5 years of lathe experience, an aerospace background preferred, and ITAR compliance. A shift differential applies to 2nd shift, with a competitive hourly wage and a drug-free, equal-opportunity workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNC Machining certificate or acceptable work experience in lieu of schooling.
• Must meet the definition of a "U.S. person" under ITAR, 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
• Lathe, shaft, or turning experience required – Min 5 yrs.
• Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.
• G&M codes experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate regular (horizontal) or VTL (vertical) lathe machines.
• Analyze and interpret blueprints, travelers, and drawings to meet specs.
• Verify conformance using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles and G/M codes.
• Align fixtures, tooling, and workpieces on machines as needed.
• Interpret CMM reports and offset machine dimensions to spec.
