Job summary

Panelmatic is seeking an Assembly Lead to guide one or more teams in production. You will ensure timely completion, assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and coach staff. You will work with management to improve manufacturing processes and enforce procedures.

The role requires reading drawings, English proficiency, and experience with ISO 9001 and UL/NEC codes, along with a strong safety mindset and union awareness.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a shop lead or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to read industrial drawings and specifications.
• Experience in a safe ISO 9001 certified environment.
• Two or more years of experience with UL and NEC codes.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four hours at a time.
• Alignment with company core values.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes workflow.
• Communicates expectations and plans, coaches and disciplines as needed.
• Recruits, hires, onboards, trains, and mentors employees.
• Maintains workflow by monitoring processes and equipment.
• Schedules personnel and resources to meet production plans.
• Maintains production standards and ensures equipment operation.
• Researches new processes to reduce costs.
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment and compliance.
• Maintains relationships with union reps under the bargaining agreement.
• Maintains professional knowledge through training and industry participation.
