Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. seeks an Assembly Lead to supervise one or more teams in production and manufacturing. The role ensures timely completion of tasks, assigns daily work, and collaborates with management to improve processes on the shop floor.

The Assembly Lead will train staff, monitor progress, and uphold safety and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a shop Lead or equivalent manufacturing leadership role.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to read industrial drawings and specifications.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 certified environment.
• Two or more years of experience with UL and NEC codes.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes and monitors workflow.
• Communicates job expectations and coaches employees to achieve results.
• Recruits, selects, onboards, trains, and mentors staff.
• Maintains workflow by monitoring processes and equipment and implementing cost reductions.
• Schedules and assigns personnel to meet production plans and reports on shift performance.
• Maintains production standards and ensures safe operation of equipment.
• Analyzes production data to support continuous improvement.
• Maintains working relationships with union members per the collective bargaining agreement.
