Job summary

United Alloy in Wisconsin is seeking a hands-on assembler to prep and assemble fabricated components in line with customer specifications and our manufacturing philosophy. This role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and efficiency in a busy production environment.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, 2:00 pm to Midnight with a $3 shift premium for the 2nd shift; on-site work with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision, 401(k) with match, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
• Able to operate overhead cranes and use measuring tools.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Forklift certification and safety training.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect product according to Inspections Control Plan.
• Tag material/product per specifications.
• Identify hardware components used in assemblies.
• Compute decimal equivalents and fractions.
• Record production activity including picking and transfers.
• Follow written and verbal directions to complete tasks.
• Cross train with paint department.
• Other duties as needed.

SUMMARY

This position preps and assembles fabricated components and materials in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Performance, quality preservation, organization and efficiency are essential.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 2:00pm - Midnight (OT as required) - $3.00 shift premium for 2nd Shift!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Understands cross check concepts and inspects product according to Inspections Control Plan
• Accurately tags material and product according to product specifications.
• Can identify hardware components used in assemblies.
• Can compute decimal equivalents and interchange fractions.
• Can accurately count and record production activity including picking, transfers, etc.
• Can follow written and verbal directions to complete assignments or jobs.
• Cross train with paint department

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• The individual must have some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
• Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Have completed forklift certification training with the safety team to operate a forklift.
• Can record time accurately including “time and attendance” and “labor reporting” using the data collection system.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist.
