Job summary

United Alloy is seeking a dedicated painting and finishing technician for 2nd shift to prep, assemble, and powder coat fabricated metal components. You will apply coatings, monitor gun settings, and maintain equipment in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires experience with metal fabrication concepts, powder coatings, and the ability to read blueprints. Candidates must be detail-oriented, able to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance, and operate related tools and cranes as part of

Qualifications

  • Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
  • Experience or exposure to powder paint application processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Manual dexterity and steady hand coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble fabricated components per customer requirements and manufacturing philosophies.
  • Paint and powder coat components using proper techniques and settings.
  • Regulate paint gun settings and perform PM on paint line equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to keep equipment running.
  • Ensure paint thickness checks meet specified standards.
  • Work efficiently to meet quality and throughput targets.

SUMMARY:

This position preps and assembles fabricated components and materials in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Performance, quality preservation, organization and efficiency are essential.

Reports To:

Operations Supervisor

Shift:

2 nd Shift 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Monday - Friday (OT as required)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Willing and able to paint 100% of assigned hours for the length of employment at UA
  • Understands and can execute proper powder coat application techniques
  • Understands paint gun settings and can regulate as necessary
  • Is able to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to maintain equipment
  • Understands and can execute the required PM to paint line equipment
  • Is able to paint efficiently and effectively to meet UA's paint aesthetic and customer requirements
  • Is able to use equipment to check and verify paint thickness
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
  • The individual must have some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes
  • This individual must have previous experience or exposure to powder paint application and processes
  • The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail
  • Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must possess manual dexterity
  • Must possess hand/eye coordinationMust possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
