Job summary

United Alloy is seeking a paint line operator at our Union, Ohio facility to prep and apply powder coatings on fabricated components in line with our quality standards. This role emphasizes precision, safety, and teamwork in a busy manufacturing environment.

You will set up painting equipment, monitor thickness, perform minor repairs, and support routine PM while ensuring finishes meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
• Previous experience with powder paint application.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assist.

Responsibilities

• Paint fabricated components to customers' quality requirements.
• Operate powder coat application equipment and monitor gun settings.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine PM.
• Ensure paint thickness and finish meet United Alloy standards.
• Follow ISO requirements and document actions.

SUMMARY:This position preps and assembles fabricated components and materials in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Performance, quality preservation, organization and efficiency are essential.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Willing and able to paint 100% of assigned hours for the length of employment at UA
• Understands and can execute proper powder coat application techniques
• Understands paint gun settings and can regulate as necessary
• Is able to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to maintain equipment
• Understands and can execute the required PM to paint line equipment
• Is able to paint efficiently and effectively to meet UA's paint aesthetic and customer requirements
• Is able to use equipment to check and verify paint thickness

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• The individual must have some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes
• This individual must have previous experience or exposure to powder paint application and processes
• The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail
• Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
• Must possess manual dexterity
• Must possess hand/eye coordination
• Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
• Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
