Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Composite Technician for the 2nd shift in Cedar Hill, TX. The role focuses on repairing parts using wet layup and prepregs, with some work in clean rooms and autoclave or oven curing processes.

You will operate curing ovens and autoclaves, use bagging materials, and work with team members to meet deadlines in a controlled industrial environment. A high school diploma is required; A&P license is welcome but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Airframe & Powerplant license not required but welcome.
• Journeyman: 0–5 years as composite technician.
• Master: 5+ years’ experience as a composite technician.
• Team players who are self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Capable of using close tolerance measuring tools (scales, micrometers, calipers).
• Capable to use hand tools (drill motors, rivet guns, etc.).
• Ability to perform alignment/assembly using jigs, templates and fixtures.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE during cutting, grinding, and sanding.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
