Job summary

HES is hiring a Floor Tech for the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. 2nd shift from 5:30pm to 1:30am, with duties including carpet cleaning, bonnet and extraction, scrubbing, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing on various floor types.

Qualifications include experience with carpet cleaning and VCT flooring, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and reliable transportation. High school diploma preferred; prior floor tech experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors.
• Operate floor buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.
• Follow safety precautions and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment.

Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing had surface floors.Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.Follow established safety precautions.Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment.Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.
