Job summary

HES Facilities seeks a floor technician to perform carpet cleaning, scrubbing, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing in educational facilities. You will operate buffers and extraction machines, following safety protocols to maintain floors in top condition.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, work well in a team, have reliable transportation, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. This on-site role requires attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Job Skills / Requirements

Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing had surface floors.Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.Follow established safety precautions.Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment.Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.Job Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.Excellent work historyTeam focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take directionPhysically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detailReliable transportationEducation: High school degree preferred, but not required.Experience: Previous floor tech experience preferred.
