Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a Floor Technician for a Dallas, TX facility on the 3rd shift. You will perform carpet cleaning, floor care, and related duties to maintain high cleanliness standards.

This full-time position requires reliability, ability to operate buffers and cleaning equipment, and a clear background check. We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus optional daily pay and other benefits.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred but not required.
• Prior floor, hard surface, carpet cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
• Reliable vehicle and ability to read/write at an appropriate level for the duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across assigned areas.
• Perform carpet cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing and spray buffing of floors.
• Operate floor cleaning/finishing equipment and buffers, up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM burnishing equipment.
• Follow safety precautions and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Inspect equipment and chemicals for proper usage and dilution.
• Lift/move furniture and supplies, sweep and mop floors, clean carpets and windows as needed.

Job Skills / Requirements

Floor Techs / Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. Floor Techs / Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility.

Floor Technician (1 Position) Rate: $17/hour

Schedule: 9:00 PM TO 5:30 AM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain a high standard of excellence.
• Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing had surface floors.
• Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.
• Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.
• Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment.
• Inspect & examine the equipment & attachment tools to ensure quality.
• Examine floor care chemicals and their use, ensuring correct dilution ratios are being followed.
• Lifting or moving furniture, supplies, and/or equipment.
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean or shampoo carpets.
• Perform light window and wall cleaning duties.
• Trash removal.
• Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor.
• Maintain equipment and supplies. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education : High school degree preferred but not required.
• Experience : Prior floor, hard surface, carpet cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
