Job summary

HES is seeking a Floor Technician to join our 2nd and 3rd shift team for school systems in the United States. You will perform carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, sealing, waxing, and related maintenance tasks in educational facilities.

The ideal candidate has a high school degree (preferred) and prior floor tech experience. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and work well in a team, following safety procedures and directions from supervisors. Full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Duties include carpet cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing floor surfaces.
• Operate floor cleaning/finishing equipment up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM burnishers.
• Follow established safety precautions.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Previous floor tech experience preferred.

Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing had surface floors. Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment. Follow established safety precautions. Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment. Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. Job Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds. Excellent work history Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction Physically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detail Reliable transportation Education: High school degree preferred, but not required. Experience: Previous floor tech experience preferred.
