Job summary

HES is seeking a Third Shift Floor Tech (custodial) in Dayton, OH. responsibilities include carpet cleaning, floor finishing, and operating buffers to maintain high-traffic areas at educational facilities.

Qualified candidates will have experience with carpet cleaning and VCT flooring, the ability to lift 70 pounds, and a reliable, team-oriented work style to thrive in a fast-paced environment on the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors.
• Operate floor buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishers.
• Follow established safety precautions and maintain all floor cleaning equipment.
• Lift and carry up to 70 pounds; work with others.

Job Skills / Requirements

Needs to have experience w/ Carpet Cleaning and VCT Flooring.

Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing had surface floors. Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment. Follow established safety precautions. Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment. Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. Job Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
