Job summary

Kemps Dairy, a DFA-owned brand, is hiring for a Material Handler/Forklift Operator in the United States. This role supports unloading, transferring, and storing raw and finished products and operating on-site equipment safely on a 7PM - 3:30AM, Monday through Friday schedule.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be prepared to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with GMP compliance and strong record-keeping skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Production or general work experience preferred.
  • Certification and/or License may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of jobs within the department and across the facility.
  • Perform duties across the facility as production needs change.
  • Report food safety or quality issues to management immediately.
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications and licenses.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Follow GMP and all regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

JOB SUMMARY

Kemps Dairy has immediate job openings for adaptable Material Handler/Forklift Operator to perform all-purpose duties, which may include unloading materials and ingredients for warehouse use, transferring and storing raw and finished products and operating onsite equipment and machinery in a safe manner. All employees will be required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and communicate effectively with all departments. Working on the pick line.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Perform multiple job duties and responsibilities depending on department vacancies.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a working knowledge of jobs within assigned department and across the facility
  • Perform all duties assigned throughout the facility caused by production fluctuations and requirements
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Obtain and maintain all certifications and licenses required
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Production or general work experienced preferred

  • Able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
