Job summary

Kemps Dairy is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to unload materials and ingredients, transfer and store raw and finished products, and operate onsite equipment in a safe manner. The role requires following GMP and effective interdepartmental communication.

Schedule is 5AM–5PM, Monday–Saturday, rotating shift, four days per week, with a pay rate of $24.80 per hour and competitive benefits including a 401(k) with company contribution and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement.
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work in a wet environment and handle dusty/chemical exposure.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials and ingredients for warehouse use.
• Transfer and store raw and finished products.
• Operate onsite equipment and machinery in a safe manner.

Kemps Dairy h as immediate job openings for adaptable Material Handler/Forklift Operator to perform all-purpose duties, which may include unloading materials and ingredients for warehouse use, transferring and storing raw and finished products and operating onsite equipment and machinery in a safe manner. All employees will be required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and communicate effectively with all departments.

• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to be able to work in a wet environment
• May have some exposure to dust, fumes and cleaning chemicals
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
