Job summary

Dexian is seeking an IT Support / Technical Support specialist in Birmingham, AL to join a 36-month contract. You will monitor SCADA and related systems, provide frontline diagnostics, and coordinate repairs with EMS staff to ensure system health and uptime.

The role requires strong communication, customer service skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts including nights and holidays. Familiarity with Windows and UNIX-based systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal education in Computer Science or related IT field or equivalent experience is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form; team oriented in a fast paced environment.
• Experience supporting 24x7x365 operations and front line diagnostic tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SCADA and related systems for health and availability on a daily basis.
• Provide front line problem resolution and coordinate repairs with EMS personnel.
• Notify customers about outages and events impacting critical systems.
• Document cases to completion and support continual process improvements.
• Adhere to access policies and support disaster recovery systems.
