Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a Police Dispatcher to receive calls, interview callers, and determine location and nature of requests for entry into the CAD system. You will verify TCIC/NCIC information and communicate via phone, radio, email, and notes with confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities include dispatching resources, monitoring alarms, and handling multiple tasks in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in customer service or related field.
• Basic TCOLE telecommunications operator license or ability to acquire.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire and ambulance services.
• Enter caller information into CAD and dispatch resources.
• Monitor camera systems to locate evidence.
• Prepare emergency/non-emergency correspondence via email or notes.
• Access and read information from NCIC/TLETS and relay to officers.
