Job summary

Skyline Technology Solutions in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a detail-oriented NOC Technician to join our 24/7 network operations. You will monitor, triage, and resolve incidents while communicating clearly with customers and internal teams.

The role requires 1–2 years in a NOC and CCNA/JNCIA certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days). On-site work 1–2 days per week; full-time position focusing on reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering-related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC).
• 1–2 years of Customer Service experience.
• CCNA/JNCIA certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• General networking knowledge and familiarity with ticketing systems.
• Working knowledge of network monitoring tools such as Orion.

Responsibilities

• Diligently evaluate incoming cases, incidents, problems, and requests to assess impact and urgency.
• Communicate status updates with customers via ticketing system or calls.
• Document calls and events in the ticketing system and coordinate with proper teams.
• Follow up on tickets to ensure timely updates and resolutions.
• Respond promptly within defined SLA targets.
• Coordinate dispatches with field teams and verify sparing and equipment.
• Assist in writing standard operating procedures for repetitive tasks.
• Pursue vendor certifications and expand networking knowledge.
