Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Lead First Line Supervisor in Hopewell, VA, to direct hourly employees and drive safety, quality, and productivity. You will implement standard work, coach team leaders, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations in a 24/7 unionized plant environment.

Responsibilities include planning procedures and budgets, resolving operational issues, and leading continuous improvement efforts using Plan-Do-Check-Act.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or chemical plant environment.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly workforce to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Plan procedures and budgets in compliance with collective bargaining agreement.
• Lead continuous improvement and 5S initiatives in assigned area.
• Manage schedules and evaluate performance; address safety and conduct.
• Communicate daily with shifts and other teams on operations.
