Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor, Ground, to lead the Outbound and Inbound Specialist teams across the full ground shipment lifecycle. You will own coverage, ensure timely escalations, and drive shift-wide performance with a focus on data integrity and process discipline.

You will onboard and coach staff on TMF, Aljex, Tive, Open Dock and MacroPoint, balance workloads, and report performance using dashboards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s preferred.
• 4–6 years in transportation or 3PL ops, with 1–2 years supervising.
• Hands-on operating experience in a transportation management system; strong preference for e2open TMF and/or Descartes Aljex.
• Ability to hold a team to a defined process and correct drift without harming morale.
• Knowledge of US domestic ground freight modes and lifecycle from booking to invoice.
• Sound escalation judgment—what to decide, what to delegate, what to raise.
• Data literacy to interpret operational reporting and challenge numbers.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Outbound and Inbound Specialist teams and ensure full shift coverage.
• Monitor TMF bookings and confirm ownership for every shipment.
• Balance workload and reassign files during spikes or absences.
• Maintain shift handover discipline and continuity across crews.
• Onboard new specialists and certify competence on TMF, Aljex, Tive, Open Dock and MacroPoint.
• Drive data quality, SOP adherence, and root-cause analysis for defects.
• Report shift performance with dashboards and explain variances by root cause.
• Escalate issues to the appropriate owners and ensure closure.
