Job summary

Ambipar Response is seeking an Emergency Response Operator for its Global Command Center in Houston. You will be the first point of contact for clients, coordinating emergency responses, gathering data, and directing teams via WhatsApp and Teams. A calm, precise communicator with dispatch experience is essential.

The role requires 1–2 years in an incident/disaster setting, typing speed of 30+ WPM, and proficiency with Teams/SharePoint. Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in incident/emergency dispatch; prefer emergency dispatch or hazardous notification.
• Type 30+ WPM with accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
• Calm, professional demeanor under pressure; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to communicate with diverse international callers in English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond promptly to calls, messages, emails, and alerts.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients as emergency call center rep.
• Gather, transcribe, and document information accurately and quickly.
• Initiate projects or jobs from intake and communications.
• Determine nearest bases for efficient response coordination.
• Activate and mobilize designated teams with the on‑duty coordinator.
• Maintain incident management via WhatsApp or Microsoft Teams.
• Prepare incident reports, duty logs, and shift hand‑offs per protocols.
• Keep Crisis Room updated with real‑time operational activities.
• Communicate updates to internal teams and clients; ensure safe, compliant operations.
