Job summary

The Regents of the University of California on behalf of their Los Angeles Campus is seeking a Guest Services Agent for UCLA Luskin Conference Center. You will operate the 24-hour front desk and ensure a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure.

We are looking for a welcoming, professional, and detail-oriented individual with strong English communication, cash handling, and familiarity with hotel systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years In-person customer service experience (Required)
• Hotel or hospitality industry experience (Preferred)
• Experience working in a university setting (Preferred)
• Proficient skill using standard business software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and property management software (Required)
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal (Required)
• Strong business English writing for reports and memos (Required)
• Ability to interact professionally with guests and team members in a high-volume setting (Required)
• Ability to engage with diverse populations respectfully (Required)
• Ability to work independently with good judgment (Required)
• Ability to prioritize assignments amid changing workload (Required)
• Ability to work under fluctuating workload with interruptions (Required)
• Knowledge of campus accounting and cash handling procedures (Preferred)
• Experience operating electronic cash registers (Required)
• Ability to maintain detailed records (Required)
• Remain calm during guest dissatisfaction (Required)

Responsibilities

• Operate the 24-hour front desk to greet guests and manage check-in/out.
• Provide high-quality guest service and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and process transactions per university policies.
