Job summary

Town of Gilbert is seeking a Police Dispatch Team member to receive, dispatch and monitor emergency and non-emergency calls in a 24/7 communications center in Gilbert, AZ. The role requires fast, accurate information processing and teamwork.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, 1 year of customer service experience, the ability to type 54 WPM, and must obtain a Level A TOC within 6 months. Overtime and rotating shifts are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service environment.
• Must type 54 keystrokes per minute.
• Must obtain Level A TOC within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Receive and route 911 and non-emergency calls.
• Recall procedures accurately during emergencies.
• Gather details to determine incident type and location.
• Maintain radio communications per regs.
• Operate dispatch console and telephone equipment.
• Research criminal history and vehicle records.
• Monitor CJIS and manage hot file entries.
