Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of directly related experience.
• Typing speed of 35 wpm.
• ACJIS TOC (Terminal Operator Certification) preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License if position duties require.

Responsibilities

• Answers emergency and non-emergency calls; interviews callers; prioritizes calls; dispatches responders; relays information to personnel.
• Enters and validates stolen vehicles and property; validates licenses and identities.
• Enters calls for service in CAD system.
• Monitors status of patrol units; coordinates ambulances and helicopters.
• Operates emergency radio for multiple agencies; coordinates with various responders.
• Runs criminal histories; entries for warrants and orders of protection.
• Coordinates mutual aid; updates agencies providing emergency response.
