Formación

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the first point of contact for people in need of help and coordinate effective response to calls.
• Develop incident resolution strategies and search databases for pertinent information (criminal history, stolen property, motor vehicle data).
• Document calls in the computer aided dispatch system and operate CAD and radio systems.
• Make prompt and accurate decisions under stressful conditions and prioritize incidents.
• New employees receive training to attain certifications (e.g., Maine State Terminal Operator, Emergency Telecommunicator, Emergency Fire Dispatcher).
