Job summary

Town of Dartmouth is seeking a dedicated Public Safety Dispatcher to join our Police Department and serve as a vital link between the community and emergency services.

The dispatcher will receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire, and EMS, coordinating critical information during routine and high-pressure situations. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, multitasks well, and remains calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Certifications in E-911, LEAPS and APCO training are preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are a must.
• Dispatch center operates 24/7; willing to work any shift.
• Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire, and EMS.
