Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Colorado, Aurora, is hiring for an Data Center Engineering Operations Technician who will be on the front lines maintaining and repairing critical data center infrastructure. This role requires hands-on work with electrical and mechanical systems and offers 12‑hour rotating shifts across days and nights.

The candidate should have 1+ years in data center or mission critical facilities and a high school diploma; 2+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience in data center or mission critical facilities.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment in a data center environment.
• Comfort working with generators, switchboards, UPS, PDUs, AHUs and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and rounds on critical systems.
• Supervise contractors performing servicing or maintenance tasks.
• Respond to off-hour emergency calls per on-call rotation.
