Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians to be on the front line of electrical and mechanical operations in Colorado data centers. The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and includes 12-hour rotating shifts.

The team maintains generators, switchboards, UPS, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, and building automation, with a focus on safety and adherence to SLAs across 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility equipment and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks including filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed while performing work.
• Write procedures.
• Work a 12 hour shift (rotating 3 and 4 day work weeks days or nights).
• Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/logs.
