Job summary

Vanderlande in Orlando, FL seeks a SCADA/SAC/BPI Operator to monitor baggage control applications and IT systems via SCADA. You will manage flight and chute assignments, perform incident and problem management, and coordinate with O&M teams to ensure seamless baggage operations.

Responsibilities include guiding daily operations, raising faults, initiating contingencies, and maintaining system documentation.

Qualifications

• Experienced with intralogistics and automated handling systems.
• Experienced managing 24/7 mission critical systems in complex IT environments.
• Excellent communication skills, experience in a customer service role.
• Willingness and ability to work an ongoing shift schedule of 8-hour shifts covering 24/7 operations, including holidays.
• Team player, adaptable and willing to broaden skills outside core skillset.
• Experience in database management (preferably Oracle/WebLogic).
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Guide daily operations using controls software and stakeholders.
• Alert maintenance personnel of faults and dispatch to locations.
• Monitor SCADA for issues and initiate contingencies.
• Act as primary contact for operational issues and customer requests.
• Communicate disruptions and implement contingency protocols; log information.
• Initiate ITIL incident management and escalate to remote helpdesk.
• Analyze issues, research solutions, and propose changes to prevent recurrences.
• Coordinate routing and escalation for major incidents.
• Prepare and report system status and operational metrics to stakeholders.
• Ensure smooth daily start-ups and perform backups/recovery procedures.
