Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Software Support Engineer to join the Network Operations Center (NOC) team. You will monitor, support, and maintain critical automation systems at customer sites, acting as a bridge between on-site operations and engineering.

You will troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and drive continuous reliability improvements. The role supports a 10x7 operational model with on-call rotations and a hybrid schedule (two days on-site in MA and two days remote).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 2+ years in technical support, NOC, or site reliability roles.
• Experience with production systems, incident response, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for live site operations and resolve issues per severity and SLAs.
• Support incident response activities including triage, escalation, mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with Software, Hardware, Systems, and Operations teams to diagnose and resolve production-impacting issues.
• Monitor system performance, respond to alerts, maintain high availability.
• Document incidents, resolutions, root-cause findings, and actions for continuous improvement.
• Identify recurring issues and work with engineering to reduce repeats and improve stability.
• Assist with updates, validation, and deployments with minimal operational impact.
• Develop dashboards, reports, runbooks, and training materials.
• Create scripts or tools to streamline triage and response workflows.
• Travel up to 10% may be required; on-site in MA and Wilmington as needed.
