Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a System Support Engineer to join our 24/7 NOC team in Massachusetts, supporting automation systems at customer sites. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and coordinate incident response to keep systems running with minimal downtime.

This role requires collaboration with Software, Hardware, and Systems Performance teams and participation in the on-call rotation. The position is hybrid with two on-site days per week at our MA headquarters and two days remote, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 2+ years in technical support, NOC, or site reliability.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with production systems, incident response, escalation management, and documentation.
• Familiarity with automation, controls, or material handling systems; PLCs/automation knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix and scripting (Python).

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical escalation point for live site operations and resolve issues per severity levels and SLAs.
• Support incident response activities including triage, escalation, mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
• Partner with Software, Hardware, Systems, Controls, and Operations to diagnose production-impacting issues.
• Monitor system performance, respond to alerts, and maintain high availability.
• Document incidents, resolutions, root causes, and corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Develop dashboards, runbooks, and technical documentation to improve visibility and workflows.
