Job summary

Spruce Mountain School District ~ RSU #73 is seeking qualified Track Coaches to lead high school programs for Jay, Livermore, and Livermore Falls.

Instructors will develop athletic skills and teamwork while promoting sports ethics, safety, and community respect; fingerprinting, CHRC, and an MPA coaching certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Maine CHRC fingerprinting required for DOE employment.
• Knowledge of track through participation or prior coaching experience.
• Coaching certificate through the Maine Principals Association (MPA).
• First Aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct high school athletes in skill development and teamwork.
• Develop a strong team environment with respect to school, opponents, officials, and community.
• Uphold safety, sport ethics, and school values during practices and competitions.

Instruct high school athletes in the development of skills and teamwork while instilling sports ethics, rules and safety. Develop a strong team environment, which includes respect for the school, opponents, officials, and the community.

Qualifications

• Maine State Law requires all school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) for a Department of Education.
• Knowledge of the sport through participation, clinics, and / or prior coaching experience.
• Coaching certificate through the Maine Principals Association (MPA).
• First Aid and CPR

• All other certifications and training documentation

Payscale for coaching is based on a point system: Min. 4 points $1,903.76 to Max. 15 points $7,139.10
