Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Welder for 1st shift in Greenwood, SC. The welder will set up and perform welding on various metals, using a range of equipment including robot welders. The position offers an hourly rate with eligibility for a variable incentive program.

Must have a welding certification and a high school diploma or GED. Relocation is not offered; located within 50 miles of the work site and able to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Welding certification/diploma required.
• No sponsorship; eligible to work in the United States.
• Within 50 miles of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform metal joining and cutting on ferrous/nonferrous metals.
• Comply with safety guidelines and sustain 5S+ in area.
• Receive work assignments from supervisor or production control system.
• Input information into data collection system as required.
• Weld parts using proper machine settings and rod/wire and gas selections.
• Weld and fabricate fixtures to aid the welding process.
• Measure and align material to sketches/drawings.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
