Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Machine Operator for the Copper Shop (1st Shift) in Greenwood, SC. The role pays $20.00 per hour and is eligible for a variable incentive program.

Core hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with emphasis on safety, quality and efficiency. The operator will read travel documents and blueprints, set up and run multiple machines, conduct daily maintenance and quality inspections, and participate in process improvements while adhering to 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Eaton does not provide immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
• No relocation assistance is available. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered.
• Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from this geographical requirement.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and perform periodic maintenance on machines including shear, Finn Power, Prima, Horizontal Press Brakes/Benders, and Trumpf Laser.
• Ensure safety, quality and 5S standards are followed and perform quality checks on finished parts.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and perform root cause analysis when issues occur.
• Communicate equipment issues and improvement suggestions to supervisors or team leads.
• Cross train and stand in for other employees when necessary and troubleshoot machinery.
