Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Welder for a permanent, on-site role in York, PA. The Production Welder will work in the weld fabrication department, performing high-quality stainless and carbon steel welding including sanitary food-grade work, with independent set-ups and a collaborative team approach.

The ideal candidate has extensive TIG and MIG welding experience with stainless steel and aluminum, can read blueprints, and operate in a production shop. This role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of TIG welding experience on stainless steel and aluminum.
• At least 2 years of MIG welding experience on stainless steel and aluminum.
• Proficiency in stainless steel TIG welding.
• Proficiency in stainless steel MIG welding.
• Proficiency in carbon steel MIG welding.
• Ability to read blueprint drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with metric system measurements for layout and fabrication.
• Basic fabrication skills, including fitting, measuring, and assembling components.
• Experience grinding and dressing welds for sanitary and food-grade equipment.
• Ability to perform own set-ups and operate with minimal supervision.
• Capability to work effectively in a production weld and fabrication shop environment.

Job Title: Welder

1st Shift Welder Needed!

The Production Welder works within the weld fabrication department to weld and fabricate parts used to build bakery systems. This role focuses on high-quality stainless and carbon steel welding, including sanitary food-grade work, while performing independent set-ups and contributing to a collaborative production team.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of TIG welding experience on stainless steel and aluminum.
• At least 2 years of MIG welding experience on stainless steel and aluminum.
• Proficiency in stainless steel TIG welding.
• Proficiency in stainless steel MIG welding.
• Proficiency in carbon steel MIG welding.
• Ability to weld materials as thin as 20-gauge sheet metal and up to thick wall tubing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with metric system measurements for layout and fabrication.
• Basic fabrication skills, including fitting, measuring, and assembling components.
• Experience grinding and dressing welds for sanitary and food-grade equipment.
• Ability to perform own set-ups and operate with minimal supervision.
• Capability to work effectively in a production weld and fabrication shop environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
