Responsibilities include cutting, fittings, setup and monitoring of orbital welding equipment, inspection of welds, and strict adherence to safety procedures. This is a contract-to-hire role with multiple shifts in a fully onsite facility.

Job Title: Welder Job Description

This role focuses on precision pipe preparation and operation of an orbital welding machine to produce uniform, high-quality welds for cooling pipe systems used in data centers. While the position involves minimal manual welding, a solid understanding of welding processes and strong attention to detail are essential to ensure accurate cuts and consistent weld appearance.

Responsibilities

• Cut pipe to precise measurements according to specifications and project requirements.
• Attach appropriate fittings to pipe sections in preparation for orbital welding.
• Set up, operate, and monitor orbital welding equipment to complete welds on pipe assemblies.
• Inspect cuts, fittings, and completed welds to ensure they are uniform, accurate, and meet quality standards.
• Follow established welding procedures and process guidelines for stainless steel pipe.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient production environment.
• Collaborate with team members working on different phases of cooling pipe system fabrication for data centers.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and use equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
• Report any equipment issues, defects, or quality concerns promptly to ensure continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, well-lit fabrication facility with approximately 2025 team members working on different phases of cooling pipe systems for data centers. There are multiple openings on each shift, with first shift running from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and second shift from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Work is performed around advanced welding technologies, including orbital and laser welding equipment, in a structured production environment that emphasizes safety, organization, and collaboration.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
