Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Switchboard Assembler for the 1st shift at the Sumter, SC facility. You will read drawings, use hand and power tools, and assemble switchboards to meet safety and quality standards. The role requires teamwork, strong problem solving, and attention to detail.

You will work Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with opportunities to participate in a variable incentive program. This position is based in Sumter, SC and supports a lean manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Resident within Sumter, SC area (within 50 miles) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchboards/panelboards using drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools to install materials per established procedures.
• Maintain quality through visual inspections before and after assembly.
• Communicate with team to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Identify material shortages and assist with process improvements.
