Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division in Sumter, SC is hiring a Switchboard Bus Assembler on first shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm). The role requires reading diagrams and blueprints to assemble switchboard components and to meet safety and quality goals.

You will use hand tools, measure with tape and calipers, and collaborate with teammates to hit production targets. Applicants must have work authorization in the United States and reside within 50 miles of Sumter.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex assembly operations or assembly requiring drawings or diagrams.
• Experience with measuring devices (i.e., tape measure and calipers).
• Experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams or drawings, or operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal bus bars and components from diagrams/blueprints.
• Use hand tools and a tape measure to measure and install material per procedures.
• Maintain progress and communicate shortages; identify opportunities for process improvement and root causes.
• Ensure quality through visual inspections and troubleshooting nonconforming parts.
• Participate in safety, 5S and cross-train for other roles.
