Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Mission Critical Switchboard Assembler in Sumter, SC. The role operates Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, with an hourly rate of $16.00 and eligibility for a variable incentive program. Work involves assembling switchboards from drawings and using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities include following procedures, ensuring quality, and collaborating with teammates to meet safety and productivity goals. Candidates near Sumter with a HS diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, or drawings.
• Experience with measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers.
• Proficient with computers and MS Office applications.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Select and install components using hand and power tools.
• Manufacture custom ordered switchboards from drawings/diagrams/blueprints.
• Communicate with team to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Identify missing components and maintain progress on jobs.
• Perform root-cause analysis and suggest process improvements.
