Job summary

GE Vernova in Findlay Township, PA, is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist - Production Supervision to provide front-line leadership on the shop floor, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met. You will coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment, drive improvements, and mentor production staff.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing (or equivalent) and substantial experience with manufacturing processes, lean methods, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field; OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least 7 years of professional, hands‑on experience in manufacturing or production management.
• For candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shop floor activities to ensure production schedules, output targets, and customer delivery requirements are met.
• Coordinate production manpower, materials, and equipment to support efficient workflow and minimize downtime.
• Monitor daily operations and adjust work assignments to maintain productivity and operational continuity.
• Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with established quality standards, work instructions, and process requirements.
• Provide front-line leadership, guidance, and support to shop floor employees, fostering a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and collaboration.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of production employees to build capability and performance.
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, EHS procedures, and manufacturing safety standards.
• Partner with Quality teams to ensure products meet specifications and support investigations into production deviations.
• Drive continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and improve shop floor performance.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency.
