Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an hourly Maintenance Lead for the 1st shift to direct the maintenance team in all maintenance aspects of assigned work areas. This role reports to Operations Maintenance Manager and supervises scheduling, line preparation, and production execution to ensure efficiencies.

Position starts at $34-$40 per hour based on experience, with benefits including paid vacation, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), onsite cafeteria, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
• At least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
• Strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial, PLC and HVAC experience.
• AAS degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Must be able to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example; coach, train, and take corrective action when needed.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English; good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a lead by training, mentoring, scheduling, and providing guidance to hourly Maintenance employees.
• Provides leadership through effective communication and coaching.
• Provides assistance and support as needed.
• Ensures a positive work environment with the company culture of respect.
• Motivates, corrects, and challenges personnel with a positive approach.
• Notifies Maintenance supervisor when problems arise.
• Maintains open dialogue with assigned team and resolves concerns constructively.
• Supports maintenance technicians in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electric equipment and Process Control software; oversees preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Performs diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and other facility equipment.
• Leads equipment installations, including hookups and alignment.
