Job summary

Trane Technologies in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician to operate automated insertion equipment for PCB assemblies, perform maintenance, and document production records. This on-site role requires attention to safety, accuracy, and the ability to follow procedures.

You will read blueprints, work with a team to meet deadlines, and collaborate on process improvements while delivering quality products and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school education basics.
• 1–2 years of electronics experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of necessary tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of electronics components (types and values) preferred.
• High energy, fast learner, and highly flexible.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated insertion equipment for PCB assemblies.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Run insertion/pick and place operations under supervision and procedures.
• Maintain records for all manufactured product.
• Assist in development and implementation of insertion procedures.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Train others as needed and meet deadlines.
• Support quality objectives and continuous improvement.

Where is the work: On-Site (5 days)

What you will do:

• Operate automated insertion equipment for printed circuit board assemblies.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Run automated insertion and/or pick and place equipment for printed circuit board assemblies under direct supervision and written procedures.
• Maintain records for all manufactured product.
• Assist in development and implementation of insertion and/or pick and place procedures.
• Knowledge of leaded versus lead free assembly processes
• Perform preventative maintenance based on the machine manufacturer's schedule.
• Assist in major machine maintenance and repairs.
• Develop auto insertion and/or pick and place machine programs and edit existing programs as required by ECO changes.
• Ability to read and work from blue prints, diagrams, schematics and other manufacturing documentation with direct supervision.
• Ability to float on floor where there is a work need.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Train others as needed.
• Demonstrate willingness to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines.

What you will bring:

• Basic communication and math skills generally associated with a high school education.
• Minimum of one to two years of experience in electronics field, preferred.
• Have a working knowledge of all necessary tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of electronics components (types and values), preferred.
• High energy level, quick learner, and highly flexible.
• Positive attitude.

Salary & Benefit Pay Range

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $24.68
