Job summary

Trane Technologies is accepting applicants for an on-site PCB assembly and inspection role. You will perform PCB inspection, rework, and assembly with a range of mechanical equipment, and verify both thru-hole and SMT circuitry while following manufacturing docs with minimal supervision.

This position emphasizes soldering (lead and lead-free), rework experience, and adherence to safety procedures. A High School Diploma and IPC certifications are required, with team collaboration and quality

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years in manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years in Quality experience.
  • Knowledge of soldering tools including removal and parts.
  • Current IPC 610 Certification or equivalent.
  • Current IPC-7711/7721 Certification.
  • Rework experience required.
  • Basic MS Office skills.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Safety guidelines adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PCB inspection, rework and assembly with various equipment.
  • Post-assembly, serialization and special component insertion.
  • Verify thru-hole and SMT circuitry.
  • Lead and lead-free solder operations.
  • Identify parts and polarity on PCBs.

Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)

What you will do:
  • Performs printed circuit board inspection, rework and assembly operations working with a variety of mechanical equipment
  • Performs any post assembly, serializing, special component insertion
  • Perform verification on thru-hole and SMT electronic circuitry
  • Perform both lead and lead-free solder operations
  • Ability to identify parts and polarity on printed circuit boards
  • Ability to pass good quality products
  • Read and work from manufacturing documentation with a minimum amount of supervision
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area
  • Follow safety procedures
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines
  • Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers
  • Ability to function and thrive in a team environment and independently

What you will bring:
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) required
  • One (1) to (2) years in manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Two to three years' experience in Quality
  • Knowledge of soldering tools to include solder removal and part removal
  • Current J Standard Certification or equivalent
  • Current IPC 610 Certification
  • Current IPC-7711/7721 Certification
  • Rework experience required
  • Basic commuter skills to include knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures
Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$27.85

Compensation Type: Hourly
