Job summary

Trane Technologies in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an electronics assembler to operate automated insertion equipment for PCB assemblies on-site. You will read and follow written procedures, maintain production records, and support process improvements while ensuring safety and quality guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in electronics, basic communication and math skills, and the ability to work in a team. Competitive hourly compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic communication and math skills generally associated with a high school education.
• Minimum of one to two years of experience in electronics field.
• Have a working knowledge of all necessary tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Run automated insertion and/or pick and place equipment for PCB assemblies under supervision and written procedures.
• Maintain records for all manufactured product and assist in process development.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and other docs with supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance based on machine schedule.
• Develop and edit machine programs as ECO changes require.
• Support safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

What's In It For You

• Operate automated insertion equipment for printed circuit board assemblies. Perform routine maintenance and repairs.

What You Will Do

• Run automated insertion and/or pick and place equipment for printed circuit board assemblies under direct supervision and written procedures.
• Maintain records for all manufactured product. Assist in development and implementation of insertion and/or pick and place procedures.
• Knowledge of leaded versus lead free assembly processes
• Perform preventative maintenance based on the machine manufacturer’s schedule.
• Assist in major machine maintenance and repairs.
• Develop auto insertion and/or pick and place machine programs and edit existing programs as required by ECO changes.
• Ability to read and work from blue prints, diagrams, schematics and other manufacturing documentation with direct supervision.
• Ability to float on floor where there is a work need.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Train others as needed.
