Job summary

Pratt Industries Hammond is hiring a Machine Helper for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 5:00 AM–1:00 PM). Starting pay is $16.00 per hour.

You will assist in setup, operation, cleanup, and basic troubleshooting of production machinery, with emphasis on safety, quality, and meeting customer demand. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, hands-on aptitude, and the ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; corrugating industry experience preferred.
• 6 months experience as a Flexo or DieCut Helper preferred.
• 6 months experience in Press and Finishing Departments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
• Set up slotting, feed, and die-cut sections on machines with accuracy.
• Assist machine operators and monitor performance, report malfunctions.
