Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc. in Sparta, MI seeks a Label Operator for 1st shift to efficiently set up and operate the labeler on the production line.

You will ensure accurate label application, adjust settings, monitor quality, and maintain cleanliness while adhering to safety and SQF requirements. Ideal candidates have at least six months of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma, strong communication, and time-management skills; familiarity with food manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a manufacturing environment operating production equipment.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task.
• Must have excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specification.
• Follow safety switches, interlocks, and safety devices.
• Performs label cuts properly and adjusts labeler components as needed.
• Coordinate with maintenance for downtime avoidance and line efficiency.
• Clean labeler and parts; perform bottle changeovers as required.
• Ensure food safety and quality requirements are met; report issues.
