Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc in Sparta, Michigan is seeking a Relief Operator for the night shift to operate line equipment at a grade 8 level in a fast-paced beverage production environment. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and is based at our Sparta location.

You will support the production team by performing quality checks, starting and stopping machinery, and ensuring safe operation of all line controls while coordinating with operators for correct packaging and changeovers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have completed machine operator training on all equipment.
• Able to read and fill required documentation.
• Forklift certification required.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cover to run filler, labeler, case packer, box former, and depalletizer.
• Complete quality checks.
• Operate safety devices and start/stop machinery.
• Control machines: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic.
• Perform product cuts.
• Keep work area clean and waste organized.
• Clear jams and reset machinery.
• Operate electric pallet jack; Forklift certified.
• Assist maintenance in size changeovers.
• Fill out documentation and perform first piece inspections.
• Coordinate with operators to ensure correct boxes for packing.
• Maintain awareness of safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
