Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator in Summerville, SC. This hands-on leadership role partners with operations, transportation, and safety to ensure safe, efficient trailer movements and dock activities on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.
• Follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and dock equipment use.
• Coordinate loading/unloading dock activities and trailer movements.
• Manage docking, release, and yard flow per safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe conditions.
• Collaborate with site ops, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
• Communicate professionally with stakeholders and maintain customer service.
