Job summary

The Clorox Company in Forest Park, GA is seeking a machine operator to operate, maintain and troubleshoot production line equipment at our Atlanta‑Main facility. This role uses automated packaging equipment and supports Home Care and Laundry product manufacturing, aiming for minimal downtime and high quality.

Starting hourly rate: $24.63 with shift differential for overnight hours. 12‑hour shifts are 2‑2‑3, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with excellent compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical or mechanical coursework preferred.
• 2+ years as a machine operator in manufacturing; 3+ years preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and call out minor repairs to mechanical issues.
• Mechanical technical skills preferred; knowledge of packaging equipment and processes.
• Familiarity with SOPs, GMPs, 5S, and WCM; ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment, ensuring setup and maintenance.
• Perform changeovers on all equipment following procedures.
• Repair equipment malfunctions using mechanical knowledge.
• Identify and solve quality problems to meet standards.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and parts; order replacements as needed.
• Assist with improvement projects and equipment installations with engineering.
• Follow safety procedures and document maintenance work.
• Attend training sessions and stay updated on new equipment and technologies.
• Comply with OSHA and Clorox safety standards.
