Job summary

The Clorox Company is seeking a Machine Operator for the Atlanta-West facility in Forest Park, GA. The role involves operating and maintaining heavy production line equipment on rotating swing shifts (7 AM–7 PM / 7 PM–7 AM) with overtime as needed.

Starting pay is $24.63 per hour with potential for skill-based progression. 12-hour shifts require good mechanical aptitude, safety adherence, and ability to read technical manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical or mechanical coursework preferred.
• 1–2 years of machine operator experience in manufacturing is typical; 3+ years is highly preferred.
• Resume required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes; mechanical skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with SOPs, GMPs, 5S, and working with vendors may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line machinery efficiently and ensure proper start/setup and run times.
• Perform line/equipment changeovers following established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions, jams, or failures.
• Identify quality issues and collaborate to ensure product quality standards are met.
• Maintain inventory of supplies/parts and assist with tool replacements as needed.
• Support with improvement projects and equipment installations with engineering teams.
