Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a 1099 Orthopedic Surgeon to evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for work-related injuries. You will collaborate with physical therapists, chiropractors, and other staff under the referral of an occupational medicine physician, and partner with employers in active case management.

The role emphasizes rapid recovery with aggressive scheduling, following state-of-the-art care standards, and strong documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. and an unrestricted California medical license.
• Board certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Active DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Examining patients to diagnose musculoskeletal problems from work-related injuries.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including PT, meds, and possible surgery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Treat fractures and musculoskeletal conditions with injections and other interventions.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans for optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients about conditions and rehabilitation.
• Complete timely documentation in EMR.
